Welcome to my Blog about being the spouse of someone who is Bi-polar.

I have spent the past few days warding off attacks. It's again like living on eggshells. Once he realized that Bi-polar even existed, he acknowledged, and told his mother, who also agreed, that he is more than likely Bi-polar. She believes that she might be too, and noted that even her mother took two spoons of fish oil each morning even before the war.

He set an appointment this Tuesday for a major presentation to his supervising professor. Loads of pressure to prepare. He asked me to kindly bear with his 'disorder' just until then- that means he expects me to absorb his highs and lows...just the balance us Librans are drawn to seek. Last night when my Yoga teacher arrived I finally just gave him a Xanax and had a great relaxing and well-needed hour of well-needed attention to myself. Well, here we are.

Surprisingly, it does not get me low anymore. I have learned that I can sometimes help navigate his anxiety towards certain productive activities like cooking. He made us a great feast of a meal today. We shopped this morning for fresh prawn, Tuna and Salmon, which the shop attendant kept calling "Saal-moon, Sir."
